Camtasia Studio On The Cheap

Camtasia is a screen recorder software used to make professional looking videos. I love watching videos created with Camtasia Studio. When I first found out what this program was that everyone was using, I told myself that I had to have it. Unfortunately, Camtasia was out of my price range at around $300. But fear not, Ed Rubi and Dean Holland’s Starting With Marketing clan is watching out for you.

The current version of TechSmith’s, Camtasia Studio is version 6. The version that I used to create the video below was Camtasia Studio 5. It has everything that I need and I’m looking forward to making many more videos in the future. The cost? $59.95 plus a $3.95 transaction fee. That’s a savings of $236.09 over the current version of Camtasia Studio. WOW!

Furthermore, it took me about 10 minutes to learn to use Camtasia thanks to a video that I found on YouTube. Just do a search on YouTube for, “How to use Camtasia Studio 5″, and it will be the first result.

Well, we all like to save money, so there you have it. I hope this helps you, and I look forward to seeing your upcoming professional looking Camtasia Studio videos.

All the best,

Ed

Woo-Hoo!! :)

Hi Ed

Thanks for the video..$300 is out of my price range as well, $59.95 is a bargain :-) … I can’t wait to start using Camtasia Studio to create my own videos.

Avis

Camtasia is a very important tool that is need online. In fact, every blogger needs this because creating video’s is more appealing than writing articles :-)

Hey Ed nice share man. You’re killing it on the video marketing man!

I also like the little quote coming from your RSS feed guy LOL.

-Cuzin Tim

Hi Ed,

Nice video! Thanks for the heads up. Will certainly look into this.
Take care,

Antoinette

Hey Ed,

That is a fantastic price for Camtasia. My instructor used cantasia for his lectures so we can take it home and follow his techniques. This was for a computer class where a power point wouldn’t be appropriate. Now I’m thinking of picking up Camtasia to help people with fixing computer problems.

Thanks,
OC

Hi OCPunk,
Thanks very much for your comment. I am just learning how to use Camtasia and it’s not as difficult as I thought. You should buy it and get going with helping others fix their computer problems. Helping others being the key word in that last sentence. Help others with their needs, build a relationship with the people that you are helping, and it will all come back to you. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help.

Thanks Mr. Paul, aka OCPunk,

Ed

Hi Antoinette,
Thank you for coming by my blog and thanks for your comment. If you do have a need for Camtasia this is such a great price. Like I mentioned, the $300 price tag for the current version is way more than I want to spend on it, but this find remedies it for sure. Nice call by the way on putting up Alex Jeffreys, “Giving up the Guru game” for your last post. Darn, I wish I had though of that. By the way, your post looks great with great content, keep up the great work.

All the best,

Ed

Hi Cuzin Tim,
Thank you for the comment. We are just going to get better at what we are doing right? Your post looks great by the way. I’m glad you were able to get it to work, and I hope it wasn’t too hard for you to do so. WebDesignLessons.com has great themes, don’t they. The little RSS feed guy cracks me up. Keep up the great work my friend.

Thank you very much,

Ed

Hi Edwin,
I just checked out your site. That’s great. I am a Christian and I very much appreciate what you are doing there. I will be sure to check it out some more, and I can’t wait.
Camtasia is important for what we do, and the prices that I discovered are so very helpful. As I said, $300 is still a great price for what the program does, but not everyone can afford that price tag. I hope this helps people out.

God bless you,

Ed

Hi Avis,
That’s great! I hope this does help you and others out that have been wanting Camtasia, but could not afford it. Thanks for the comment and I can’t wait to see your Camtasia videos.

Thanks again,

Ed

Hi Lisa,
I can’t wait to check out your Camtasia videos. Please let me know if you need any help with using it. Not that I’m an expert or anything like that of course, but if I don’t know how to do something you ask me about, then I will just have to go out there and learn to help you and others out won’t I, and that will force me to learn. Then, we all learn together. Hope all is well with you, and I wish you the best.

God Bless you too my friend,

ed

Ed,
Nice Post, dude! Thanks for the info and the intel on the lesser priced version of Camtasia. Will have to check that out! Thanks also for the kind words and comment you left on my blog!
Mike

No problem Mike. Thank you very much for the heads up on the typo. Much appreciated.

Thanks again,

Ed

Ed,

Camtasia is awesome and what a great way to save some money.

Cam 5 was always good enough for me.

Cheers,

Rob

Hi Rob,
Thanks very much for stopping by. Camtasia is great and I wanted it for so long, but did not want to pay $300 for it. The price is right for Camtasia 5, and hopefully this helps some people save money.

Thanks again and all the best,

Ed

Hey Ed

Sorry its taken me so long to get over here, how are ya?

I got camtasia a few weeks ago, but I still have not used it yet, but figured I will need it for my business.

Marcus

Hey Ed–business idea–you could be the new Billy Mays of online marketing! Seriously, thanks for the Camtasia tips–I know I will be asking for your help when I am ready to do my first video (nervous).

Hey Marcus! How are you doing. Camtasia is cool. Can’t wait to see your first video.
By the way, your 25 things post was hilarious. Some were a bit TMI… haha, but that’s
what makes it so fun. I feel like I know you better. :) Thanks again for stopping by.

All the best,

Ed

Hi Ralph. When you are ready to use Camtasia, let me know, I’ll help you our for sure.
As for the Billy Mays thing, I don’t think I’m loud enough yet, but I’m working on it.
Thanks for popping by. Oh, and don’t be nervous about your first video, just get ‘er done!
You can do it!

Thanks again,

Ed

Hi there.

Saw your comment on Dean Holland’s blog so thought I would check out the content and blog!

Camtasia and screen capture software is so important for anyone looking to do a bit of marketing and content creation online.

One of my fave cheapo methods of doing the whole screen cap thing is using Techsmih’s Jing application. Ridiculously cheap and very easy to use.

Hi Alex,
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Yeah, I also use Jing for screen shots, and I like it very much. With Camtasia you can do lengthy recordings and creat presentations like the one that you looked at. Both Jing and Camtasia have their uses and are good programs though.

All the best,

Ed

Hey Ed

How ‘re you doing Man…??

Hey listen up Ed…

I’ve just found a link where you can pick up
Camtasia 6 for FREE…

But guess what…
You’ll have to go to the members forum to get it…
or my Blog…sneaky eh….lol

Hi Malcolm,
LOL! You are sneaky aren’t you. That’s funny.
Wow, I will go check it out right now. You da man!
Thanks for the info.

All the best,

Ed

Ed

Great post and a useful tip for those on a budget, often previous versions are overlooked as considered obsolete when in truth they have more than enough functionality for many users.
Keep up the good work

Tom

Hi Tom,
Thank you very much for your comment and for stopping by my blog. Yeah, I agree with you. The older versions are NOT obsolete, but in the public’s mind “old” items usually are. Well, I guess that’s what keeps them in business, and that’s not a bad thing.
I stopped by your blog, by the way, and I must say it looks very nice. I will be checking back to read your posts.

Thanks again,

Ed

Hi Ed,

Many thanks for sharing this information. I didn’t know you could get the older versions at a fraction of the price.
As someone who doesn’t feel too comfortable getting in front of the camera (yet), Camtasia seemed like a good option to use video in my marketing but the price has always been too high for me. Now I know I can invest in it without stressing out my credit card,

Cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt! For sure. I’m glad that I could help you out. Camtasia can be expensive, but it can be found cheaper.
