Dean Holland’s, Starting With Marketing Academy is off to a great start. We were given our first module to complete, a series of videos called, “The BBB Formula”. The “BBB” stands for the Basic Building Blocks, and it’s exactly what it sounds like – the basics.
In this module Dean showed us, via video tutorial, how to create our first blog. The module included the following:
- How to set up hosting (06:01)
- How to install a blog (07:23)
- How to find a new blog theme (02:07)
- How to upload a zip file using cPanel (03:17)
- How to activate your new theme (02:05)
- How to set up Google Analytics on you blog (03:01)
- How to install plugins on your blog (04:08)
- Creating a “pretty” permalink structure (02:10)
- Setting up an email for your blog (03:38)
- Creating your first blog post (06:53)
The result completing “The BBB Formula” module is what you are looking at on your screen right now – Our new blog.
There is more to come for sure. This is only one of six modules that we will go through as we learn how to make money on line, and I can’t wait for the others! One of the great things about Dean is the fact that he makes it easy for even a newbie to follow, and the videos are not long at all. If you notice, I put the running time of each video next to the description of the video in the bullet points. The longest video was only 7 minutes and 23 seconds. Short and sweet, but to the point!
The second module, entitled “Social Slaughter”, will be coming soon and I will give you an update once I have taken action on it.
All the best,
Ed
