Are you the next American Idol… of internet marketing? Are you even an internet marketing American Idol contestant? You may, or may not be… at this point in time. If you are, then congratulations, that’s awesome! If not, then what are you doing to get there?
I am a Little League baseball coach, and when I look into the eyes of the young men that I coach I see potential. I see a clean slate that can be filled with… filled with what? You decide. You can be the next American Idol of just about anything that you put your mind to. For instance, if I wanted to be the next Little League coaching American Idol I know that I would have to eat, sleep and breath Little League baseball coaching. It’s the same with anything else you do, you have to take action and have laser beam focus.
Being an internet marketing superstar, you may think, is too hard to do, but think about this for a second. I tell the players on my team that they have it so easy compared to when I was a kid. If I had to research something for school, I would have to ask my mom to take me to the library, go into the library and ask the librarian for help. We would then walk over to the files where the Dewey Decimal System was located, and he or she would provide me with a list of books and the location of those books within the library. I would then have to find those 15 books and sift through them to find just the right information for my essay.
Uh… wow! That’s a lot of work isn’t it. Now what does a person do if they want to do research for something? That’s right, the Google it.
Things have gotten a lot easier for students and for us. “Us” being the masses of people that have a goal. Whatever your goal is, all you have to do is Google it, and there’s a 99% chance that someone out there wrote about it, or even made a tutorial video about it. My goals is to be a successful Internet marketer. Yours may be something else, and perhaps you stumbled upon this post completely by accident. If this was the case I hope that I have inspired you to follow your dreams and strive for your goals. It so much easier today, because of the internet, to be successful. You can start as an American Idol contestant and strive to American Idol stardom, in whatever field you wish.
Like Nike says, “Just Do It”. Action + focus = progress.
The nice thing about the internet is that instead of just being an American Idol, you will actually be a World Idol, if you really want to. You can do it.
If you are new to internet marketing, then please visit this blog often. I want to help you, and I’ll be giving you invaluable information to help you build an internet marketing business. Together we can achieve!
Oh, one last thought. Most of the contestants on American Idol get better each week, when pre-American Idol, most never strived. Now; however, they see what they can become, and they are taking action and are also very focused. What changed? I believe that they have the vision of seeing themselves as the next American Idol. Get your vision first, then work backwards. You can do anything!
To your success,
Ed Rubi

Hi Ed!
You’re good! I like being a clean slate! Unfortunately, there is so much on the internet, it get’s a little difficult to stay laser focused, but I am doing it!
Just the masterclass…no mas!
Got a vision, (now I just gotta keep my eyes open from this lack of sleep!!) and gonna work backwards!
Love your posts, as always!
Hope all is well,
Take care!!
Lisa~
Thanks Lisa! All your post are always good as well. Now I really can’t wait what’s coming next on your post each week. I know I’ll learn more from you.
Thanks,
Ed
Hi Ed
Another great post as always. Its true stay focus and take action, that way you avoid information overload.
I have started using Action Plans and Plan each day. I also us Remember the Milk a free online tool that you can use to set your task out

So lets keep on taking Action and be a success.
Cheers Kerie
Ed,
Glad to see you are back! Hey don’t forget about the encyclopedias back in the day… my mom bought a set and I think i used those all of 1 time!!! Kids don’t know how cheap information is these days!!! lol But.. you have hit it spot on…have a vision first then work backwards. Stay up my friend!!
Hey Darren. Thanks for that. We never had encyclopedias when I was a kid. We used to visit my cousins every year and they had them at their house and I thought that it was the coolest thing. I always had to go to the library to research stuff. Google, I remember the first time I heard that word, I was like… “what the heck is that?” Now it’s just a part of everyday life. I wonder what things will be like in 20 years… I can only imagine. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
All the best,
Ed
Hi Kerie. Thanks for reminding me about “Remember the Milk”. I ran across it a while back and I forgot about it. I’ll have to check it out again. To be honest with you, time management is something that I need to work on, but I’ll get it down. I’ve bought so many planners and never used them. I even bought a Palm Pilot, and I ended up giving it away. I know that I will be more efficient once I decide to get planning. Thanks again for the reminder.
All the best,
Ed
