How to write an eBay title that sells

What’s an eBay title you ask?

Well, I explain what an eBay title is, and how to create an eBay title that sells, each and every time that I teach one of my eBay classes.  It’s amazing how many people don’t put any thought into the 55 characters that eBay gives you to create your listing title.  Think of these 55 characters as valuable real estate, you want to use every last letter.

Not only that, but you want to pack it full of search words that people searching eBay would type into the search bar to find the item you’re selling, so… uh, think like a searcher first.

Below is a screen shot, in case you are confused as to exactly what an eBay title is, of some eBay gallery pictures with their titles to the right of each picture.

How to create an eBay listing

I have created this short video to further explain how to get buyers to find your eBay listings. Please comment, or ask questions, at the bottom of this post and I will answer you. I hope you find this helpful.

Where can I find cheap shipping boxes to ship my eBay items?

That’s a question I get a lot when teaching my eBay classes, and one of my favorites to answer, because you can actually shipping boxes for FREE.

You can get United States Postal Service Priority Mail shipping boxes at no cost, and the USPS will deliver them to your front door for free too.  That’s right, absolutely no cost to you, plus if you get them via the eBay website, they will come eBay branded.  That means that they say, “Get it on eBay” right on the box… cool right?

Another way to get an array of supplies for free is through the United States Postal Service website.  Through their website, once you sign up, you can get boxes, envelopes, priority shipping stickers, forms and much more for free.  They also have some items that you pay for that you can have delivered to your front door.  Just remember that is you do get your shipping / packing supplies through the USPS website, they are not eBay branded.

I made this short video to walk you through the whole process.  Please comment after watching it with thoughts or questions and I will help you out as much as I can.  Hope this is helpful… Enjoy!

All the best,

Ed

Hi again everyone! The first step to selling on eBay, whether you want to sell as a hobby, or you want to start your own eBay business like I have, is to register for an eBay sellers account. As an Education Specialist trained by eBay, I teach a four hour class called The Basics of Selling on eBay, and I have found that what stops a lot of people from ever selling on eBay is that they never take the first step. In this video I will hold your hand, and guide you through that first step, to get you over the obstacle that most people fail to conquer.

If this is your first time to my site, or if you haven’t done so, please sign up for my FREE eBay Training Alerts in the right hand column of this website. I will be posting more videos in coming weeks with lots of tips and tricks to help you make money on eBay, and to make you a successful eBay seller.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this video, or about selling on eBay in general, by commenting at the bottom of this post. Thanks for reading and watching, and I’m very excited to be helping you take that first step.

All the best,

Ed

Hi everyone! As you know, my name is Ed “Edward” Rubi. You may also know that I’m an internet marketer; however, unless you know me personally you probably have no idea that I am also an eBay Education Specialist trained by eBay. This means that I teach people how to sell in a live classroom setting. The classes that I teach are, “The Basics of Selling on eBay”, “Beyond the Basics”, and “eBay Stores”.

What does all this mean to you? Well, because you are a subscriber of mine I’m going to be teaching you, FOR FREE, what I teach my students in the live class. Normally, I charge $100 per person for each class I teach, or $50 dollars an hour for private lessons.

Why am I doing this? I’m doing this because I know that it’s tough times out there for a lot of people, and I just want to help you out. Ebay estimates that most people have about $2,000 worth of stuff that they can sell on eBay right now just sitting around that they will never use… think garages, closets, or where ever you store stuff.

That being said, today’s lesson is going to be how to do eBay market research, and it’s free! This free eBay research, otherwise known as a completed listings search, will show you how to find out how much those unwanted items will sell for.

In addition to the free eBay research tools, I will show you some additional options for researching your items. They are Terapeak.com, and PriceMiner.com.

Please comment below to let me know what you thought, and if you have any questions about selling, or even buying on eBay please contact me at support@edwardrubi.com.

One last thing, click this button below the video to show the video in full screen mode.

All the best,
